Install the Chrome Extension

You can install Salesbolt on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge (With Chrome Extension Compatibility Mode), or any Chromium-based browser.

Install the Salesbolt Extension here: Chrome and Edge Browser Extension

Connect Salesbolt to Salesforce

Click "Connect to Salesforce" and then log in via Salesforce using your standard Salesforce credentials.

Note: Salesbolt does not have a user account/password as we are a Salesforce partner we can use Salesforce's incredibly secure encrypted OAuth connection.

Note: If you believe you are using the correct username and password combination and are seeing the below message in error, please try selecting the "Use Custom Domain" link below the login button.

Hint: Your Custom Domain will usually be present in your Salesforce account URL once you are logged in. i.e in the below example, our Custom Domain would be Salesbolt

Allow Access

Click "Allow" to authorize the connection and proceed.

Pin the Salesbolt Extension to your Chrome Toolbar

Do you see the Extension in Chrome at all times?

If not, then click the Extensions ‘Jigsaw Puzzle’ icon in the top right of your Chrome Browser and then click on the ‘Pin’ icon, when the pin becomes blue Salesbolt’s icon will now stay pinned within your browser for easy access.

There’s a Sidebar!

While you can use Salesbolt as a regular Chrome Extension, Salesbolt also has a dedicated sidebar mode. This is really handy if you are creating a large volume of leads and want to reduce the number of clicks or if you are jumping around tabs while editing or creating a record, as the window stays open (unlike regular Chrome Extensions, which automatically close whenever you click away).

Salesbolt Icons

Even if you don’t click the extension or have the sidebar open, you can still see if there are any records found that match the page you are viewing in your Salesforce instance.

Salesbolt is either still searching Salesforce or does not automatically search on this page. In this case, you can still use our Right Click Search to use Salesbolt Anywhere: Click here for more info.

Different levels of matching

Not all matches are made equal, by matching, we are referring to the search of matching Salesforce records in your CRM or ATS in relation to a search (for example the name of a person or company).

When matching records are found you might see different words used to describe them:

  • Exact Match means that we have matched a record based on the Source Profile URL, to ensure that you benefit from this feature please have your Salesforce admin follow these steps to enable Source URL Mapping in your org.

  • Match (or Regular Match) means we have matched a record based on what we believe to be the First Name and Last Name. We also attempt to use "Fuzzy Matching", so “Kat Smith” will match with “Katherine Smith” wherever possible.

  • Possible Match means that we have matched a record based on the First Name and Last Name, but not anything else (i.e. a common company linked to the record). For common names, like “Bob Smith”, this might match to the wrong person.

Search Salesforce from your browser, quickly ?

No need to open Salesforce to Search. You can Search from Salesbolt any time!

Create records from any website

Even if you aren’t on an integrated record page, you can create a new object in Salesforce in seconds wherever you are.

The + button (as shown below) is a global create button that works on any website. ✨

Use Salesbolt, on any website

From any website, you can highlight any text on the page, Right Click and Select "Search Salesforce for "highlighted text here". Salesbolt will then search through your Salesforce to surface any matches and display them in the Salesbolt Sidebar where you can either Create New or, Edit and Update any existing records.
